building the research and innovation infrastructure we wish we had in high school.
most students are taught to solve problems that already have known answers. the most interesting questions are never assigned, and the infrastructure to pursue them, mentors, peers working on the same problems, pathways from curiosity to rigorous work, does not exist for most students before university. aethra exists to build that infrastructure, starting with the students who are already asking the hard questions.
moonshot: a 0 to 1 hackathon. our seventh event and most ambitious yet. 11 prize categories across beginner friendly machine learning/AI and open-ended innovation tracks. moonshot was the first aethra event where top builders got directly connected to vetted research programs, fellowships, and mentors.
"Civilizations are not transformed by those who optimize what already exists. They are transformed by those willing to imagine what does not."
view on devpost →our first program outside of hackathons. a structured, school-based curriculum teaching mathematical proof writing and formal reasoning to students in grades 3 through 12, before they encounter it in a university lecture hall. confirmed and scheduled at a partner school, taught by volunteer mathematicians and professors. completely free.
founded aethra in 2025. seven global events, 2,340+ participants across 30 countries, now building the research and mentorship infrastructure that should have existed for students from the start. the goal is an institution, not an extracurricular.
something revolutionary. we are not ready to say what it is yet.
